Tolmin historic sketches

The book is a collection of eighteen historical, national histories and traveler's articles, which the ethnologist, archaeologist and geographer Simon Rutar published in the journals of the time; today they are difficult to obtain for the common reader. The texts were chosen, edited and equipped with extensive commentaries by the historian Dr Branko Marušič, who is also the author of the introduction. Most of the texts deal with important events from the history of the Tolmin area, while three cover the life of the people on the other side of the current Italian-Slovenian border.

The collected texts are enriched with twenty-seven picture postcards of the Tolmin area from before WWI and with other illustrations.
