The Way It Used to Be: Breginjski Kot in Different Archaeological Periods

Archaeological Exhibition Catalogue

The catalogue The Way It Used to Be: Breginjski Kót in Different Archaeological Periods gives a concise presentation of the archaeological history of Breginjski Kót, an area in the northwesternmost part of Slovenia, between the Stol mountain and Mija hill, which is culturally linked to neighbouring Italian region of Veneto. It presents the results of research which included archaeological topographical surveys, a study of previously published finds and sites, the living oral tradition, and the newly recorded finds. The archaeological artefacts in question are in the possession of the Tolmin Museum, the National Museum of Slovenia and individual collectors from the village of Breginj.

The catalogue consists of 56 pages. The two main chapters are An Overview of Archaeological Sites of Breginjski Kót and the Archaeological History of Breginjski Kót, with a catalogue of finds.
