In the Hinterland of the Isonzo Front

Exhibition Catalogue

The catalogue, as well as the exhibition of the same title, is a result of collaboration of three archives and two museums; each of them contributed to the final image of the exhibition and catalogue with its own part of collecting material, documents or objects.

In the catalogue, the Isonzo Front is presented in a somewhat different way. Instead of looking in the first lines of the front, it shows the images of war in the hinterland. Beside soldiers, who witnessed the atrocities of warfare in trenches, also civilians in the hinterland hardly born the heavy burden of war. Life and suffering of both are presented in the catalogue, with photographs, documents and short articles of several authors.
