Construction of the road to Polog

During the construction of the church in Javorca, the construction of a supply road along the Tolminka valley to Polog also took place.

Klemens Melicher (1888–1971), a Viennese engineer and reserve First Lieutenant in the engineering staff of the Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian army, was in charge of this construction.

He participated in the construction of the road from July 1915 to July 1917.
