Names burned into oak panels

On the inside, the wall surfaces are lined with 5 cm thick oak panels, in which the names of fallen Austro-Hungarian soldiers are burned as if they were "brought on the wings of an angel." And as they wrote, there are "so many names that they were burning them into the wood day and night for three months in several shifts." They were burned into the hard oak wood with the help of heated moulds of letters and a press.
